The Cinema Machine consists out of concise, sped-up versions of movies which are part of popular cinematic history and memory.
Each compressed 60-second movie can be seen as a kind of mnemonic device, which triggers the memory of the entire film in the viewers mind.
Additionally the relentless succession of frame after frame of film after film, familiar and unfamiliar, generates an overload of cultural-historic impressions and cinematic memory.
