(Art Monthly, June 2004 No 277 review of 'Like beads on an abacus designed to calculate infinity' exhibition)

In the GPS Diary project the artist Thorsten Knaub recorded his daily movements over the course of a year by carrying a Global Positioning System (GPS) in order to continually map his movements. The project explores ideas of surveillance, our relationship with technology and questions where daily life stops and artistic activity begins.
